Prep time

Cooking time

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 2-3 cloves

  • 2-3 dried red chilies

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • Get Ready:
Ensure that your paneer cubes have been drained of any water initially. Simply pat them using a paper towel.
Easy, right?¬†Now, you’re ready to start.
  • Spice Things Up:
Use hot oil in large frying pan on medium heat. Throw in cumin, cinnamon, cloves, and dry red chili. Yum, let them sizzle a bit!
  • Aromatic Mix:
    Add chopped onions.¬†Cook until they’re see-through.¬†Then, add tomatoes.¬†Soften and juice-them up.
  • Magic Spices:
    Time for the fun part!
Mix ginger powder, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Combine, stir well, and leave to boil for about one minute.
    Smells amazing, right?
  • Saucy Goodness:
Add approximately that amount of water. Leave it to simmer for about five minutes and then let it get somewhat thick. This is the nice paneer sauce.
  • Peas Please:
Toss in the frozen peas. Cook them on medium heat for approximately 2 minutes, until they become just tender enough and are colorful.
  • Paneer Time:
Add some paneer cubes and mix them gently. Treat them gently; don’t crack them. Soaked in more flavor, cook for a few more minutes.
  • Fenugreek Touch:
Add the crushed kasoori methi and sprinkle on top. Stir lightly ensuring that they all have a taste of it.
  • Seasoning:
Last touch ‚Äď add some salt.¬†Just enough for it to be tasty.
  • Fresh Finish:
Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on top. It adds a fresh kick.
