Ingredients

  • 250g mushrooms, cleaned and quartered

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 capsicum, diced

  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • 1/4 cup spring onions, chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for frying

Directions

  • For Marination:
    – Mix mushrooms with soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, minced garlic, and chopped green chilies. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  • For Coating:
    – Sprinkle cornflour over the marinated mushrooms and toss until evenly coated.
  • For Frying:
    – Heat oil in a pan. Fry coated mushrooms until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.
  • For Saute:
    – In the same pan, saute finely chopped onions and diced capsicum until soft and translucent.

    – Mix soy sauce, chili sauce, and tomato ketchup in a bowl. Add to sauteed onions and capsicum. Stir well.

    – Add fried mushrooms to the sauce mixture in the pan. Toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
  • For Garnish:
    – Garnish with chopped spring onions.
