Step into a cooking adventure with our very appetizing recipe for Honey Chilli Baby Corn Skewers. Let us combine the flavors of honey and chilli for a great culinary stimulation.


  • 200g baby corn, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil, for frying

  • Honey Chilli Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • For coating:
    In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

    3. Then coat baby corn pieces in the mixture, sprinkling some water in the mixture for better coating.
  • For frying:
    1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat.

    2. Fry coated baby corn in batches until golden brown and crispy, approximately 2-3 minutes per batch.

    3. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  • For Sauce:
    1. In a separate saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients.

    2. Simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  • For Glazing and Serveing:
    Toss fried baby corn skewers in the hot sauce until evenly coated.

  • For extra crunch, double-coat the baby corn in the batter before frying.
